Leap into Fun at Disney Parks on Leap Year Day

Leap into 24 Hours of Fun at Disney Parks on Leap Year Day

On Feb. 29, uninterrupted park hours in Florida and California will allow visitors to have a blast and make plenty of memories with their friends and families.

To capitalize on leap year’s potential for fun, two Disney theme parks will stay open for 24 hours straight on leap year day. The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and Disneyland Park in California will both open at 6 a.m. local time on Feb. 29 and stay open until 6 a.m. on March 1.

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman Tom Staggs said the “One More Disney Day” promotion is designed to help park guests use “every minute of their extra day to make memories with friends and family.”

What’s more, a couple of current offers could allow you to party it up at Disney parks free of charge:

--Now through Feb. 29, a daily winner will be chosen in the “Disney Parks One More Disney Day Sweepstakes.” Each day one sweepstakes participant will win a five-day, four-night vacation for four at either Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., or Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Fla.

--Guests also can get one more day and night of Disney fun for free when they buy a three-night/three-day non-discounted room and ticket package at select Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort hotels. (One free night will be added to the hotel stay, and one free park admission will be added to the tickets.) The package offer is good for arrivals most nights between Feb. 26 and March 10. Reservations must be made by Jan. 31.
